On April 4th, the Buildings & Ground Team presented to the congregation two major repair projects that required substantial funds to be allocated to do the work. Discussed were the replacement of the heating boilers and a section of the roof that has been prone to leaking for many years. Estimates for these two

projects were in the range of $134,000. A proposal was presented by the Buildings & Ground Team to raise $50,000.00 through a Capital Campaign, to meet this specific need. As a result of that discussion, the congregation voted to approve this work and to raise the funds through this campaign.

 

The Elders directed the Finance Team to lead and oversee this Capital Campaign. Lime green envelopes labeled "Capital Campaign" will be placed in the pews and available each Sunday for you to place your designated giving, which will be collected as part of our offering time. You may also give to this campaign online via our web page: fcc1.org/Giving/Capital Campaign. A status thermometer will be placed in the Welcome Center to track our progress on raising $50,000.00. We will also make progress updates as to the amounts collected for these projects through the Bulletin and the Messenger.

 

This campaign gives us the opportunity to have everyone participate to meet this need. Whether it is one dollar or $10,000, we can each due our part to share in meeting our goal of $50,000.00. We ask that each of you prayerfully consider this giving above your regular tithing for these much-needed repairs be completed and paid for.
